Hey Jah,

There is no option to proceed anyway, i just get the message stating that there is no software available, and that I have the latest software installed

SE Update service is up and running again. Flashed my phone yesterday and all is well. restoring a backup only worked when I selected the items one by one so that took a while and I couldn't recover my settings....Weird, but not too bad...

What IS weird however is that when I check the phone's staus it states that it only has about 5.1 Meg of available memory.... (RAM taht is, not diskspace). Isn't that waaaaay to little?

Typical - phone settings is the one thing I actually want to backup and restore - all the PIM data is easily restored on a first sync (and the contacts can be backed up on the device itself anyway).

@sammydtd

can you try again as some people did report problems with the update service?

Bug in the email system (latest firmware as of today):

IMAP idle was running for half a day, then it suddenly stopped and the "globe" symbol went away. I sent a test email to my imap idle account and nothing happend on the phone. I made a manual send & get in the message application and git this error message:

Application closed
Application !MsvServer
Reason Code IMPS
Reason Number 3

Then I can click continue und it says "Server has closed". Could this be a problem with the imap server and not with the phone? But the phone should send heartbeats to the server to keep the idle session alive, shouldn't it?

Are you using the Dataviz RoadSync (ActiveSync) e-mail client?

I know you can backup your contacts on your phone, but is this backup still intact after a flash? I was tols ALL data is erased with a flash....(even from your memstick)

No, the standard message app with activating IMAP idle. Organizer firmware R3B01.

Since I use IMAP idle (24h now) the message app has crashed 2 times with this error message and every time I have to reboot the phone.

I always backup my contacts to my memory stick. Never had any issues restoring after a firmware update.
I'd imagine if you backed up to the phone memory that you would loose the backup though.
