n80 does have short battery life but fun to use , and if you turn everything off eg: brightness set to low , and turn off 3g..
should be around 1.5 days usage;)

I've owned both phones, got my K800 now though cause it's cheaper, but come next year, with the introduction of the N83 or similar, I'm there like a shot, I'll b alot richer!

lol if you say so.. i'm a big s60 fan.. using a n73 right now.. and i would say if you had to go s60 it's a way better choice then the n80
here have a look at my comparison
to date i have not seen 1 s60 3rd application worth buying

I have just got a free upgrade on my wife o2 contract and took the k800 so I can settle this discussion (for myself anyway).
should get it tomorrow. Great deal (glas the w800 is rated as such a cheap phone. £9.99 on a £20 (reduced from £25) a month tarrif. Started that they wanted £129.99 and keep the same tarrif, did the old please cancel my contract and give me my PAC number, got through to the nice lady at retentions and she started with 69.99, nope...then 9.99 nope then 9.99 and £5 off a month. OK.
I will try the phone for a week and compare them both. Which ever I like I will keep and flog the other on Ebay, give the wife the cash and she can either buy a phone sim free (she doesn't want the k800 as she dislikes so much about the k750) and the n80 is too much of a gadget for her.
Can't wait to settle this.
N80 is a great phone, the wifi is so handy for podcasts, email etc without having to get out the laptop, the sat nav saves me lugging around a separate unit, battery life is rubbish but well over 24 hours with typical use (and I could always switch it off at night and save a few hours).

lol.. the only thing the n80 does well is lose battery and stutter due to memory errors

when i only make phone calls and dont use any other features it just about last 2 days.
dont bother with the phone you will regret buying it.

honestly... the only thing the n80 has is wifi... what else does it truly offer? (yes s60 does more that's a given.. so there's your 2 shoes)
the n73 is a better package.. cause it works better as a phone..
the prescious nokia n80 is the worst of the entire new line of s60..
i would rather use the
e61
e70
n73
all perform better then that piece of junk the n80..if they release a 1000 mah battery and a good firmware then maybe it has a leg to stand on but until then...the n80 with firmware 17 is garbage

1000mah batt. is going to come within a month,it won't be a Nokia thou but I don't mind. I will use it mostly as a server while within wifi range and as a gps with a 'bluenext' gps addon. You see I am flying as a hobby and the N80 has the best screen around. (try reading your cell in bright sunlight with sunglasses/uv-visor on) . With a N80 configured as a server on EDGE anyone,anywhere in the world can see on google earth in real time (second by second) where I am and where I have landed (recovery - fly paragliders) the Edge connection is fast and stable enough and also has enough range to do something like this. Also I will use it as a aac++ player while I fly and take a pic now and then. Thanks for your opinion Buddy
