"Until the late 1980s, the term Moslem was commonly used. Muslims do not recommend this spelling because it is often pronounced "mawzlem" /mɒzlɛm/ which sounds somewhat similar to an Arabic word for "oppressed" (Za'lem in Arabic).[citation needed] The word is pronounced /muslem/ in Arabic, but often /mʊúlɪm/ in English. The word is now most commonly written "Muslim"."

Taken from wiki

Perhaps it just like some spell the Quran different ways (Qur'ân, koran, Quraan...etc)?

I don't think Moslem and Za'lem sound similar :S

Anyway the common spelling is Muslim. You can spell things many ways, but there is always a correct way.
The common spelling of the Islam holy book is

Quraan or Qur'aan

@amnesia
moslim sounds similar to mouzlim which is similar to mazloom which means oppressed not oppresser which zaalim stands for.

So far so good bro, almost 2 weeks gone. Wish it was Ramadhan all year.
The fasting feeling is so good, reading the Holy Quran daily feels great and listening to Taraweehs and performing them feels excellent. Make the most of the remaining days.
