I'd guess it's for a neck or wrist strap. Looks something like that, even though it's an odd placing for it. (Odd as in not normal, doesn't seem to be half bad for a neck strip, though...)
The grey box next to the holes might be an external antenna slot

Is that the speaker - beneath the
logo? It does look small.
I don't know which version I prefer.
I like the stealthy looks of the black version but then again, I like shiny too.

Which would make it one of the more music-centric devices. The W950i doesn't even have a camera.
