Got it!
After a few minutes of language selection troubles, it runs smoothly.

I agree changelog would be very good, specially now we have lots of updates...imagine if they launch R5 in a month! The UIQ3 phones now are like the PSP with constant updates lol

It's funny that some people are so determined to be negative.
As a reasonably intelligent person i can tell the diff betwen the speed straight after the last update and the new one.
I use my phone a lot and it is now faster, much faster than it's ever been before.
This update has improved my phone, no ifs, no buts!

Guys, last night i made the firmware update and it went at 56% more or less and then finished the update. for my surprise the main icons disappear when we choose them, and the phone was so slow! then i made a second firmware update and noticed that it went up to 100% (green bar on the screen phone)! and then installed tweak peaks and it went all smooth! now my p990 is ok!
so, i recommend to you guys to perform always a second update to force it to go up to 100%
hope this helps some of you

I'd love to upgrade my phone but the problem with backing up my phone is just to big to bother and because of that I still have the first FW.
What is the use of new FW if you can't back up the old one?
This is just ridiculous! :S

I do not understand why ppl on this forum would say the UI is faster.
The Phone,Messages and Multimedia applications loads so slowly.
Try this, kill all apps and then load each of these applications from a fresh start.Like the last FW it is the same speed.
I have to agree with you guys that the overall stability is there.
But that is all I see.
Opera is still a hog on memory.
I can ONLY multitask 2 applications when it comes to running multimedia such playing music and surfing the net with opera.
I think this sucks
I hope ares is right with a new firmware coming out soon.
SE is playing with everyone when it comes to firmwares .... no changelogs , no announcements of improvements .......
That is just my 2 cents

I am on Vista as well and get the error "Could not locate a Java Virtual Machine" error. How did you get around that?
