Hi Masseur and Mib 1800
I just checked it worked with my N93 one thing i forgot to say is when it starts scanning click options and deactivate the close up mode also it takes a little while so wait for it to end by itself you should notice it freezes the frame 2 or 3 times and then displays what it says.

mib those aren't my bugs.. just a list i found...
overall i've been quite impressed with the n95.... just don't like the build or the price lol (which is what i've said from the beggining of this thread) crashes and memory problems i expect to never truly go away... for ANY smartphone...
i've been playing with one for a day or so now ... and besides a few software quirks (that won't be fixed because that's how s60 operates) it's generally pretty good
i find the "own" key kinda useless though cause it goes into that redundant "slow" animated menu
i hate the fact the one side of the phone wobbles. (somebody opened their's and said some well placed tape might fix the issue. (let me know if anyone wants to try i can send pics)
the phone is too plasticky... i know they wanted to make it light which it is... but if they used some nicer material ala e65 i think it would be better... i've never minded the weight of s60 phones... n70 for example had a nice solid feeling
my wish list....
fix the music app.. add some filter options so i don't have to listen to my ringtones if i use "random" or have to hide everything with y browser
fix the gallery to do the same...
add a "resume play prompt" for if the headset gets disconnected, cause it's not fun when you for example "have your stereo bluetooth headset battery die and the music starts blasting out of the external speaker. or when you take a call and want to disconnect a plugged in headset and end the call to have it do the same...
a option to put the phone back to portrait mode when sliding back to the closed slide. i think that would be helpful
and obviously optimize and manage memory and improve it.. as i was multitasking music and web or navigating around etc.... the player would either stop... or stutter or the web app would shutoff..
and has anybody noticed the nasty hiss in call? the earipiece is clear and loud but the background hiss noise is horrible... i've heard it on 3 of them now...plum and sand and made in finland

- the "own"/multimedia key is quite useful. Give it long press and it open (or show if already running) the music player. Then u can just use joystick to control music player instead of sliding the phone.
i hate the fact the one side of the phone wobbles
- I saw in another forum, to fix the wobble, you can use a piece of double sided heavy duty tape (thick foam type). Cut a small piece (5mm X 5mm). Peel off one side. Slide to player side. Stick it into the trough of the slide track just next to button on the side that wobble. Use more tape if necessary fill up to the height just enough for screen slide track to slide over. The tape form a support.
a option to put the phone back to portrait mode when sliding back to the closed slide. i think that would be helpful
agree with this.
the phone is too plasticky
I dont find it plasticky at all. Maybe mine is "sand" colored. I find it more metal looking than plastic. The back material is the same as those used on the N70.
optimize and manage memory and improve it
I only have problem with this when I open gallery and web together. I have no problem with listening to music + web together (unless I load up a M-R review page which is pretty heavy)
and has anybody noticed the nasty hiss in call?
Strange. My call earpiece is crystal clear (no hiss). Can it have something to do with the reception of your network.

Hi Masseur,
Glad it worked for you at last, unfortunately it's just not as simple as you would think.
@Dragon Eye
"crashes and memory problems i expect to never truly go away... for ANY smart phone..."
Unlike you i have never suffered from the first problem and due to starting with 22.3mb Ram and using a Task manager don't really have any memory problems either, well not that i can't accept and live with and i do expect manufacturers to do all that is reasonable to fix these type of issues as well. I do not accept that any smart phone should crash even occasionally as being alright or acceptable.

ya... the straight to music player is useful... but i'm talking about the normal press once to get to the animated look... i don't see the point of it..
turning the animation on and off is a good feature...
the video recording also has an annoying hiss....
just talk to a few more n95 owners... and not everyone seems to have the hissing noise when in call....

have you ever had an app just kill itself? or seen the prompt "memory full"
happens on every s60 i've ever owned... running agile, music, message and contacts open... and web something will crap out 80% of the time...
that's what i mean....
even when the gallery tries to load all the videos and pics i have the phone will come to a stall.. that's why i prefer the e series split if video and pictures...
