Mrs McCann is not a suspect but has been interviewed again as a witness accrding to the BBC. Sky have said that the McCanns are afraid that they are going to be made suspects.

and did you hear that they are sueing a portuguese newspaper for libel?claiming it caused them suffering and humiliation,and that it defamed their good character. err ... hello, you left your young children at alone whist you went out for drinks and a meal.

Hasn't she been interviewed for hours though. The Portuguese press don't like her at all do they? Its as if they want her to be the killer. I thought she was going to be brought out in handcuffs after that interview.

Why would they kill her though they have 2 other kids it just doesn't make sense, there wasting time they should be looking for the killer not suspecting the parents!

this would be a bloomin shock though if they did do it I wouldn't think Columbo would work it out himself

It is an open case still though. I'd be shocked. It doesn't make sense at all does it? The press are almost wishing this will come to some absolution.

Sad to think they think it could be the parents, are they just looking for a conclusion to sell more papers with? Who knows?

Hi all,

I have said this before and will say it again if they hadn't both been Dr's and therefore supposedly responsible and educated people Social Services would of been all over them and removed the other children.

How ever you look at it they left 3 children alone with a rota of people allegedly checking every hour or so, some only listening at a the door of the apartments.

This holiday resort had both creche and babysitters available but they were more interested in having a meal and drinking with friends then their own children's safety they don't deserve our support and money they deserve to be prosecuted for what they did. There really is no excuse for there ridiculous and unacceptable behaviour IMO. It's the poor little girl that is still missing i fell sorry for and only her.

Perhaps (just speculation) there was some sort of accident when the kids were left on there own (I don’t know, she fell off the bed and hit here head and died) and the parents wanted to cover it up, and not been seen as neglecting them. Even though the neglect has been seen, it’s pretty much taken a back seat to the “kidnapping theory”.

The thing I don’t get is the press attention the case has received. 3 HOURS after she went messing it was reported on GMTV (popular UK morning chat show), and a relative insisting a kidnapping. Seems a bit quick to declare a child missing and to insist on a kidnapping!
