Hi,
I have a T-39 and a Palm m505, can't you just use the phone as a common modem?. Before, I used to connect may palm with a Startac CDMA phone over a cable, using my usual internet account, now with this GSM phone is either GPRS (too expensive) or nothing?. When I try to connect, the phone just dial end then drops, it is just like my provider blocks the connection. Is there a way in heaven you can connect to internet with your palm over a non-GPRS connection, just as if you dial to your internet provider and bang! you are connected. I'm sorry for my ignorance, but there must be a way.
Thanks in advance for your collaboration,

@qvilorio
yes you can use CSD (GSM data) connections just like with CDMA. it's a value added service, so inquire about subscription from your SP.

minor config differences i suppose. i dont use CSD, but have read info from other users who has done so.

look here for further config instructions. some will not apply to you, use the info from your ISP instead.

btw, in case you need this:T39 driver from Palm (Serial, BT, IR)

@asimo
hmm .. try the new t68i drivers from Palm

Hello,
i wonder if there is an application that let you send an email through a sms server, just like the phone does. Orange Dominican Republic, lets you check and send email through your phone for "free", you have to send sms to their server and it converts from sms to email and viceversa, so I wonder can't I do these using my palm m505?.

Thanks in advance,

Q.

P.S. Orange says that in order to do that I have to subscribe to their net services, nevertheless I think that if the phone can do it, and my PDA can send SMS (funsms) why can't it route the SMS to an email address.
