Considering that the LED by the fastport connector is not that bright - let alone not a bright place to put it - its an asinine place for it to be.

Who holds the phone in such an orientation in order to notice the LED glowing as an alert indicator?

Other than that I love the P1i's styling - yet that side stripe makes it look thick. I know it isn't but it looks that way.

I saw in a youtubevideo a few weeks ago a man who previewed a P1i, and he had got a theme with iphone icons on it. It looked very cool and I was wondering if someone else had seen thes, and knew where to find this theme?

Please post a link og upload the them

Thanks!

It´s a perfect location for the LED, at least for me. I always have the phone buttoms-up in my pocket, so just a glare down the pocket tells me the status of the phone!

Or when it's lying on a table, you can see from a distance if the led is blinking or not.

The LED is in an absolutely genius position, SE have really done their homework and done something clever and unique there. My phone is always in front of me on my desk, or table, or wherever - the bottom of the phone is always visible, and it's the obvious place for a light like that, it's amazing that they've only thought of it now!

Hi Marc.

What JWM meant was if you receive an sms the phone vibrates or alerts you by a tone if you haven't read your sms yet.

Samsungs and Motorola mobiles do this. Every 3 or 5 minutes they remind(nag) you until you read the message.

i'm glad sony ericsson has seen the sense to not include this. if your that worried about not replying to a message just take a second of your time to look at your phone every once in a while

having it tell you youve missed a message every 3 minutes is not only the most annoying thing on the planet but also the ultimate way to waste battery life

and its unbelievably annoying for the people who have to put up with it ALL DAY because the stupid phone owner has buggared off and left their phone behind

btw - on to my point - i'm with everyone who has said the status light is in the perfect place! youd have to be looking at the phone upside down the whole time to not see it

If you're looking for iPhone-looking menu icons, look no further than this link:

But currently it has only been tested for P990, M600 and W950. It might just work for a P1
