My wife got this phone (C902) a few weeks ago on Vodafone, she did not get on with it, and gave it to me. I am on T-Mobile, and I want to get rid of all the Vodafone 'Rubbish'! I downloaded the SEUS stuff, and followed the steps through, but it did not give me an option on which type of software to download and consequently updated my Vodfone software. I just want the plain, generic software, with no network preferences. If this is not possible, then the T-Mobile software would certainly be more fitting. Can anyone help?

Well my phone arrived yesterday from Orange, they sent me a 100% unbranded C902! No Orange links everywhere, no orange logo on the phone itself, first SE phone I've had from Orange ever that's been completely debranded!

Very happy so far

Even though the debranded version doesn't have the latest firmware!

To debrand your phone you want to use a tool such as DaVinci Team and pay to install the generic software. Granted it will cost 10 euros (8 quid), but it's only a one off payment, as when your running generic software SEUS will detect this and provide you with generic updates.

The software I would reccomend you install would be "C902 R3BH002 CID52 CUSTOMIZED UK/SWIFT BLACK WESTERN-EUROPE", or obviously using the LUSCIOUS RED version if your phone is red.

I did all of that. Cheers. However...When I go to switch the phone on, I type in the PIN, and up pops a message 'Configuration error. Pleas contact your network operator or service centre'. I'm now worried that I may have voided any warranty etc. Any suggestions? After all the wife will have to take it back all that

I had R3BH002 (full Davinci Main+FS update) since the day I bought my branded C902. The menus were reasonably fast, and I've only had one reboot when pushing the limits of this phone. It's still a lot more stable and also faster than my K850i.

Today, I've updated to R3CA037 on SEUS. Full reflash, which made me happy, seeing as the previous partial reflashes on SEUS seemed to be causing various problems, including stability issues at least on the A2 phones. Now, the menus seem faster, also Java applications seem to run smoother than on the previous firmware. Haven't really tried out so much on the camera, and I cannot really find any differences in the menus except for the speed. Finally, my phone feels like it's not keeping me waiting when I'm typing, using the menus, multitasking, etc. I what I'm seeing, and I'm very happy so far. Hopefully this firmware won't introduce any stability issues as the ones we've seen on some of the K850i firmwares..
