Hmm, i better test a bit More then.
Tested, still fails here. Do a update search, and afterwards activity menu fails to show until phone reboot.
As for the led thing, its that it stays on while camera is active, rather then only for the moment when a photo is taken.

the funny bit about the flash is that it clearly becomes brighter the moment before the camera sound plays, so it should be able to be even less bright or even off if needed.
still, i guess there wont be a major change to that unless someone can dig something out of the camera part of the firmware.
and on the topic of firmware, have anyone noticed reboots while using the built in web browser after the last update?

hrmf, seems my phone no longer likes hspa networks
and btw, tried to reset setting on the phone, didnt make the shortcuts menu bug go away after a firmware update scan, nor fixed the hspa issue i am now seeing.
