I would be ken to know if anyone finds a better weather app,

Palmary Weather is a very nice app, the only problem is at the moment there is no widget for it. But is very detailed and accurate. I use it daily.

@MooGoo It would be a bit sad if it was 2.1 seeing as there is every chance Android will see 2.2 in the 1H!

it would be devastatingly sad if the update is just a UI update and it's still stuck on 1.6..
I think even die-hard SE fans would defect if they pulled that on us! Time for them to pamper us for once.

Whats the name of the 'official Twitter' application anyone? theres so many of them on Android market

whoops, … X10 owners can’t use it because it’s only available for Android 2.1 and above.

I'd just like to recommend 'Bloo' The android facebook app.

The official facebook app is ok but severely lacking in notifications.
Who wants notifications on events and friends requests? I want to be
notified for comments - on my posts, on my liked posts etc etc.

Bloo can notify on comments - although it doesnt look as nice as the
official facebook app in my opinion. Seems pretty efficient in its battery
use too.

I thought I'd share with you the apps I use regularly:

apps:
1. fring - free - messenger app for skype, msn, googletalk and various others
2. GoMarks - free- google bookmarks syncing. Great if you use google bookmarks on your PC.
3. barcode scanner - free - great for linking straight to apps from a QR code.
4. some battery widget - they're mostly the same but save you going through the menus. Just decide the style to suit you.
5. TED mobile - free - cool, interesting, informative and intelligent talks and presentations streamed. If you don't know what TED about go to www.ted.com

games:
1. Basket Ball Lite - free lite version - best way to pass a few minutes shooting hoops. I'm currently dominating the device '1 minute' scoreboard for X10 (I must be the only X10 user on this game).
2. Toss It - free - on one of the levels you can throw an iPhone in a bin again and again.

I have other apps like Sky Map and Goggles and they are really cool but I don't use them.

@RickyD

Just downloaded both of those games and they're great... But BasketBall lite is v tricky at least on trojectory accuracy 1.
Would also recommend the free version of ShootU- I think it featured in one of the vids Arne Anke put up in the official thread. Also do try Sky Map, I did last night on the walk home and it is crazy quick even when pinging off network towers not GPS, very impressive..

I would also recommend London City, a free App with built-in Tube Map and the option of live info for all lines on request, to anyone visiting London.
There is a free guitar tuner called funnily enough gStrings, which looks good in terms of UI but I haven't tested yet.
SuperYatzy free is quite good fun, a decent port of Yahtzee looking forward to testing multiplayer.
Last game I'd recommend is Homerun Battle, again I'm just running the Lite (Free) version and it's a good timekiller..

Now does anyone have a decent Speed dial and/or redial programme, preferrably free ones. Does feel a bit daft that we have to look for these sort of adds when our last six SE phones had them.. But overall I am very happy with the tradeoff as so much of the X10 just blows me away..

Trickois, the only speed dial i know is to long press on homepage, shortcuts, direct dail...select the contact. This creates a speed dial widget for whoever you like, and put on ur either 3 homepages...btw thats another thing im looking for on OS 2.1+ more home pages. My Nexus has 5 home pages to scroll between

@phatasm
To get your facebook notifications to work on android Without using some app..first you must go to your facebook page, go to accounts top right page, account settings, notification tab, scroll to bottom where say other appilcations(you may have to click show more), check the boxes that say (Andriod Sync, Facebook for Android, and Sony Ericsson X10), save changes. And there you will have facebook android notifications come in on your notication bar like sms do etc,..you have to activate it thru you facebook page. Its not that the regular preinstalled FB dont have the feature, we just have to manually check the boxes in FB settings. You must do this for all android devices.
please note: you may also check any other box that applies to you, and what you want. But thats pretty much this jist of it.

Basket Ball Lite isn't easy to get used to but it's god fun when you do. I'm not awesome at it but I can hit maybe 3 in 5. Bounce shots get you extra points too. I noticed though that bounce shots are only possible when starting position of the ball is higher than the basket.
