Must be some batches or early ones. I read alot of forums saying the phone often had faulty loud speaker,freezing with a strange blue screen & over heating but as I said must be early ones

Possibly, im not sure, but she got hers back in July not long after it came out so i think its not all phones probably just a bad batch. I dont think ill be able to convince her to update to v1.2 though, especially if the user data is not preserved.

I think my g/f just closes the app.
Does anyone know if by updating the Wave's firmware user data is deleted ?

It is if the autofocus is used, my girlfriend just snaps away without using it as you can see in this first picture:
Now compare it to my Satio, using cloudy white balance (which normally i dont use, as it makes the pictures look yellow on every camera ive ever used):
She got the hang of it a bit better even though her subject matter was pretty poor in taste - women ! huff !
Not bad quality but not a patch on my Satio.

No problems with my wifes Wave, which she had not long after release. Maybe a bad batch that didn't see UK shores.
