I read that article and also thought it was going to be crap - not surprised.
Can't say I will buy it as it just looks so cheap and tacky, the unfashionable strap isn't fashionable either.

@tranced: the list of apps sucks. I was interested in the liveview b4 but after see the list, i think i'll hang with my mbw-150. Im using an x10 mini pro anyhow. The liveview looks useful if u have a mighty phone u dont want to keep in ur pocket, so u'd keep it in a napsack and interface with the liveview. Thanks for the informative list!

My biggest negative that I've taken from that review is that SE has flat out said that the firmware on the LiveView will not be upgradeable.
Seems to be incorrect information.

In some reviews I have also read comments about the LiveView™ device not being upgradable. I just want to confirm that that is not the case. There will be a software update coming for the device itself.

How long does it last on a single charge? As I have been reading reports of only 8 hours. That's next to useless as far as I'm concerned.

2-3 days for me. It depends on how often it receives updates from the phone. That you can control in the app on the phone. Also if you can't keep your fingers away...
Some plug-ins uses alot of batt too if you don't close them.
