Been hearing lots of issues with the speaker and screen on Sola!
I don't have any issues on my sola.
Just a very tiny dust on the screen which I don't mind at all.

ICS now rolling out for Xperia go, Xperia sola and Xperia U
Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich is now rolling out on the rest of the Sony Xperia handsets running the NovaThor U8500 platform. The Sony Xperia go, Xperia sola and Xperia U are starting to receive the ICS update as we speak. As usual, Sony says that the rollout will continue over the next few weeks in markets globally.

It's just a tiny particle like a dot. It's very small and it's only noticeable under white or light background.
I remember you had dust on your Arc right? What did you do with your arc back then? I'm thinking of sending the phone for a cleaning in a sony store when I get a free time.
To all sola users, from what I understand from this
http://developer.sonymobile.c[....]ola-with-your-gloves-on-video/
I can now use my phone without touching the screen using glove mode. I mean, I can hover my fingers over the ui. This is great if true because I'm messing the beautiful display of my sola every time I use it by leaving smudges and fingerprints. I want that cursor ring so badly!
This will put that hover pen of the new note to shame!!!!!
"Glove mode is enabled by default in the ICS upgrade for Xperia™ sola, so when you unlock the phone while wearing a glove (or with a bare finger in the air), you will enter glove mode and Floating touch™ mode will be disabled. In this mode, both glove touch and normal touch usage will work, for example, if you take off the gloves. There is also a cursor ring shown where you press the screen with your glove, to help you understand where you are actually pressing the screen."

This is true innovation!
I forgot to mention this.
"And for all developers out there, you will have the possibility to use Floating touch™ in your apps with the Floating touch™ API."
Floating touch games at last!!!

Give us you're review how does it feel?
Is it smooth? Bugs?

Few points I would like to share after ICS update for Xperia Sola:
1) Still works as smooth as before. A small hiccup is that, half the times in camera mode, when I click on a picture already taken, then the app hangs. Anyone else has the same issue?
2) THE CAMERA PICTURES ARE VERY VERY BAD IN LOW LIGHT IN THIS UPDATE, NOISIER AND EXTREMELY DARKER. ESPECIALLY WITH FLASH ON THE PICTURES ARE COMPLETELY DARK AND USELESS. BEFORE THE UPDATE THE PICTURES CAME OUT VERY GOOD IN LOW LIGHT WITH OR WITHOUT FLASH. INFACT PICS WERE TOO BRIGHT WITH FLASH EVEN IN COMPLETE DARKNESS.
3) The new apps are very nice. Movies, Album, Walkman and notes, etc.
4) Battery life seems to have become a little worse now. Doesn't even last a day with average use.
If anyone is happy with their Gingerbread version, I would recommend not to upgrade to ICS. The downgrade of the camera performance is not worth what new in ICS update has brought. I am mainly disappointed with the camera. What was great earlier is now bad.
