I'm hoping that Sony will release a stylus that snaps on to the magnetic connector. Or made by third party.

Maybe same thing for a battery extension?

I want to hold it, or at least a dummy version, before buying. But I'm pretty much dead set on it!

You don't need a dedicated stylus. Use any pen or pencil. I prefer using a Cross or Lamy stylus. Now, I can just use any nice pen!

I know! And I love the fact that I will be able to use everything from an IKEA pencil to a Mont Blanc Pen.

But I'd like to have something that clings to the device so that it's already there when I pick it up.

Amazon Germany and one other german retailer list the Z Ultra already for 679,-euros...
Notebooksbilliger list it for the week 39! This means end of September???

I thought SONY's new strategy was to cut the days until release. Between announcement and release only max. 30 days... What now? 90 days???

You know, make that stylus a battery and that'd be a pretty neat idea imo. Only issue is the stylus would need to be pretty big to give off any decent amount of charge to the handset - that said, there's a challenge for a product designer right there!

That would be a great idea! Use the style of the pen in the French event invite. And I'm sure you'd be able to squeeze in a 200-400mAh battery.

But I wouldn't mind a hump in the middle of the device either, as long as I can take it off. Would it be possible to have the extended battery charge the internal one? So that you'd be able to take it off half-way through the day and be left with the internal one at 100%?

Someone posted a comparison in the rumour thread of SZU and the one pictured in the French invite. The French one had a shutter key. Is it a misstake, a European/International version or a different device completely?

Did everyone forget about that 10.000 mAh battery charger from Sony?
That should be good for XZ Ultra

Some markets will get it in July while others like Germany will have to wait a bit longer, so I would say the "strategy" as you put it holds (as with SW updates the dates only indicate when the roll out starts, not when it ends).

There is an interview of the head designer on Phone Arena.

The size was chosen so it fits the size of a passport, i guess he means in width and thickness, while keeping the 16:9 screen and about one finger of bezel to hold it on landscape.

Good idea so travelers can keep it in the same pocket all time
