How is that an excuse? the Z1 is waterproof! You can snap photos in a downpour haha.. actually, that'd be a great photoshoot i think.
and you are waterproof too.. or do you melt in rain?
@bonovox - great pics man! inspires me to get out and take more photos! just been so busy lately.. sigh. Also, autumn around here isn't all that pretty. doesn't inspire :/ but keep up the shots! look forward to seeing more.. especially 20mp ones.

@gitaroo - there are several ways. you can post to esato, by clicking on the photos icon when you reply. then you can post them from there or using the PHOTOS icon (the camera). if you post to a 3rd party site (e.g., flickr), you can get the image URL and use the photo link icon (to the right of the camera icon) and link it. That's what I usually do.
and Bonovox said that he's not on updated firmware yet.

Yeah I can tell when I look at the pic in full size, the image sharpening/processing is just horrible but it seems to have been reduced greatly with the new firmware.

"just horrible" is pretty harsh. these are great photos and will only get better (and already have a bit with the update). You make it sound like the other competitors produce far superior results and that is simply not the case.

I said just horrible is they because they are very very noticeable to me and it felt like Sony is doing extra work to ruin the IQ. With the overly sharpen image turn down in the new firmware. Things have improved.
