Great ad. I'm really being won over by the lens style camera. It's so versatile.

Oh, I'm preordering my Z3C this week.

The 808's color reproduction is not the best.. its very neutral/natural and it tends to look dull at times. You need to fiddle with the settings to get a more vibrant look out of them. Its very nice for post processing, but not the best for out of the box results.

Also, anyone that does a camera comp using the phones's display shouldn't be taken seriously. The 808's display is way too saturated to properly display images.

The camera on the Z3 compact is very good from what I saw on gsmarena, however comps to the 808 are far fetched.

In fact, the camera of Z3 Compact is very good, has everything to be the best ever produced by Sony on an Android, but is miles behind in terms of quality when compared to the Nokia 808 PureView Pro !

Better than the Symbian PureView only new release from Panasonic:

i think he compared the images not through the displays. it's shown in the video. i just snapped that part for his annotation.

^ oh, my bad..

Either way, the difference between the two would be considered huge for some, and negligible for others.. its all perspective.

I was about to buy the Z1C when this one was announced, I think I will wait a bit. I might even sell the Lumia 930 (not up to my standards in camera/battery) and get this Z3C.

Still in the long journey looking for the 808 replacement

Edit:

Cu-, are you getting this one? I deffinitely might get it. Is supposed to be released at the end of this month here in UK, around £350. I will try to see if Amazon UK price-matches that (they have it currently for £450)

Did you get the headphones as part of a promotion with the phone? They look pretty good.
