I'm back @ work from some time off and we've got some retail demo's available of the S6. First of all it's the best looking Galaxy device for some time, however as good as the screen is (quality wise) it isn't very bright and the audio from the loudspeaker was very tinny. The build quality is fantastic although the metal frame has some kind of coating which to me at least takes off some of the premium feel. I'll see if I can borrow one for tonight and maybe get some camera samples.

I saw both galaxy s6 and galaxy s6 edge here in Dubail Mall and for me regular s6 is way better than edge variant .

The curve on both side seems useless and makes the screen seems small compare to regular s6.

I got to try the S6 today and must say I was truly impressed. The build quality and handling is top of the art. The screen is wonderful and the speed throughout the whole ui is something I never have experienced before on ANY phone. But what impressed me the most was how quick the camera starts by double-clicking the home button and the picture quality from both stills and 1080p 60 fps, really stunning. This one easily surpass any previous phone from Sammy 😄

After seeing a tear down ... I'd say the assembly was done complete by CNC and computer automated robotics; remember this is heavily massed produced. The "build quality" is all credited to the outside metal frame ... and that "build quality" is out of the box and in the hand ONLY ... to me this is Fit and Finish.

Build quality to me is how the device handles under drops, bang ups scratches etc ... and like the company or hate them there is one that tops them all .... BlackBerry Passport! There are literary quite a few drop and bangup tests (over 20 feet) showing its real world Build Quality vs Fit and Finish.

But this S6 is a really nice piece of kit! Not since the Google S4 by LG or the Sony Xperia S have I really wanted an Android. Seriously tempted equally with the iPhone 6 (which I'll wait for late summer/October 2015 for its rebirth).

Great build quality doesn't mean that things don't get damaged. I don't expect my phone to take a 20 feet drop without damage and to me that does not equal poor quality.

Played with one at Carphone Warehouse and my impressions were as follows :

- it looks beautiful - one if the most beautiful Samsung phones
- it is very smooth - felt very, very smooth maybe even more than note 4
- I like how you can disable the bloatware straight from the main menu
- unfortunately the settings were blocked so I couldn't try the themes
- even though it is a 5.1 inches screen it seemed tiny - coming from Note 4 and now Nexus 6. The small icons in touchwizz didn't help as well. I can't see myself getting used with that size anymore it doesn't matter how lovely the phone is
- the storage available was 24 GB for the 32 GB version. Also I read that from the 64 GB version you only get 54 GB available . I don't care how fast the internal memory is for me this is a definite no,no...I would choose note 4 or HTC m9 over the s6 (or future z4 from Sony if it keeps the memory card )
