Too late, since there was no word from sony about coming back to markets left years ago I bought Motorola G62 twenty minutes ago. Light green like XZ1c. Gonna arrive next week. $284/€266, I know that except SoC and battery life, everything is inferior to any from sony z series, but that is what it is available.
Someone posted 1 v specs on twitter. Except lame imx803 used by iphone 14 pro and "same" periscope of mark 3, rest is very good.
@spek, list I have seen says Samsung E6, not Boe Q9. 🤔... Also list says Feb 28th 2023.
Bonus: black/white/purple again is getting annoying. Why cant we have gold and mirror chrome?

Xperia phones are actually really good but they're so expensive and cannot compete with phones in their price category. I tried a Pixel 7 and it blew me away how good it is for half the price for the Xperia 1 iv. If the Xperia 10 v gets 120Hz display, I'll get that otherwise Pixel is the way to go. The Asus Zenfone 9 is my amazing but only 2 year android updates. Trust me the Pixel camera is amazing, makes the Xperia 1 iv look like a toy.

looks like US carriers may have shutdown some LTE bands in addition to 3G bands as well
traveling to places where xperia phones used to run LTE with strong signals are now 2G only while the 5G phones have 80%+ signal strength

USA & Canadian carriers are getting rid of 2G and most 3G bands to relinquish spectrum to emergency services (Police, Fire and Ambulance).
Rogers Wireless (Canada)
URL
https://www.rogers.com/custom[....]ticle/business-network-updates
We’re phasing out older technologies (1900 MHz) on our 2G and 3G networks beginning June 7, 2021.
This means after June 7, 2021
Devices that rely exclusively on 2G or 3G 1900 MHz to connect to our wireless network will stop working starting in select areas.
In areas where 2G and 3G 1900 MHz is not immediately turned off, unsupported devices may not have service when traveling or will be impacted as we continue our shutdown in more places.
Note:
Devices that use the following frequencies are compatible with our network:
Network Technology Frequency Bands
2G (GSM/EDGE) 850 MHz B5
3G (UMTS/HSPA) 850 MHz B5
4G LTE 700 MHz B12
4G LTE 850 MHz B5
4G LTE 1900 MHz B2, B25
4G LTE 1700/2100 MHz (AWS) B4, B66
4G LTE 2600 MHz B7
5G 600 MHz N71 (DSS)
5G 1700/2100 MHz (AWS) N66 (DSS)
5G 2500 MHz N41
It’s good to know that the availability of each frequency listed above varies by cell site, and devices that support more frequencies, both within a network technology and across different network generations, will have access to more wireless coverage.

What is happening?
Mobile carriers are shutting down their 3G networks, which rely on older technology, to make room for more advanced network services, including 5G. As a result, many older cell phones will be unable to make or receive calls and texts, including calls to 911, or use data services. This will affect 3G mobile phones and certain older 4G mobile phones that do not support Voice over LTE (VoLTE or HD Voice).
Learn more about other connected devices, such as medical devices and home security systems that may be impacted below.
When is it happening?
Some mobile providers have already completed the shutdown of their 3G networks, while others are scheduled to occur later in 2022. Plans and timing to phase out 3G services will vary by company and may change. Consult your mobile provider's website for the most up-to-date information.
AT&T announced that it phased out its 3G network beginning in February 2022.
Verizon announced that it will finish shutting down its 3G network by December 31, 2022.
T-Mobile announced that it finished shutting down Sprint's 3G CDMA network as of March 31, 2022 and Sprint's 4G LTE network as of June 30, 2022. It also announced it shut down T-Mobile's 3G UMTS network as of July 1, 2022, but has not yet announced a shutdown date for its 2G network.
If your mobile carrier is not listed here, you may still be affected. Many carriers, such as Cricket, Boost, Straight Talk, and several Lifeline mobile service providers, utilize AT&T's, Verizon's, and T-Mobile's networks. In addition, international visitors to the United States with 3G phones will be affected and are urged to plan accordingly.
Note: These are dates for completing the shutdowns. Carriers may begin retiring parts of their networks sooner.

Dont know if benchmark is real. That would be SD782 (778++) .
Judging the supposed spec list I saw yesterday (looks like real from certification or something like that) , I wonder how phone would be cheaper than 1 iv. It will be very disappointing if periscope is really same of mark 3. 😰

I am starting to doubt. I saw imx663 listed as front cam.
Weird part is the fact it says
4K@120 on all rear cameras, but I highly doubt 663 can do 120fps.

The whole spec looks decent/doable but the guy says this is his "ideal" spec. So I think it's not a leak.
