Just wait until it's realeased. Droll would put it put out on his page for people to test if he wanted more people then just ajack to test it. I am one who can wait for a full version of Sman v1.2

Any ideas when that'll be? There's nothing on the sMAN page about it.

Like with Sman v1.1 we will know in due time. That is when the Beta will be stable enough to soon be full version.

Dude, stop patronising me. I asked a straight forward question, not unreasonable to expect a straight forward answer. Why're you getting defensive? If you don't know when it'll be out or anything at all about it, then say so, don't say "in due course" like I'm inconvniencing you in asking.

Calm down kids.

For sure, ajack or droll WILL publish here when they are planning on releasing another version. So no reason for making problems out of it.

Secondly, people: START reading the manual. Lots of the questions asked here, would not have to be asked, cause there is a good describtion of everything you have been asking about in the manual. So save droll and ajack some time, and read it! Maybe they can use more time on coding the new version you guys are waiting for!

To ajack, and droll: Keep it up

@Rumik
I am sorry for sounding patronising. I just write in a very uhm.. I don't know, odd sort of way I guess when I try to explain something. Especially when using a language which I don't use at a daily basis like english. Well... I am really sorry. Will try not do it again.
I am also interrested in the new version...

Hiya,

Thanks, I'm sure you didn't mean to come across as patronising, I appreciate your apology. I'm sure it's frustrating when people ask the same questions in thread after thread. If I hear something about sMAN 1.2 I'll post it here but I imagine someone else will post it first.

Ajack/ Droll, whats new in 1.2?
An audible alert when proximity scan detects or bluejacks another device would be awesome.
Just a suggestion!
Great work guys, 1.1a is my fav app!

@all:

Sorry guys, both droll and I have been travelling. I just got back from London (was away for two weeks) and droll just left for New Orleans (for another two weeks). He did mention that there was a new beta for me to test but like all previous versions, we'll never know when (v1.2) is ready.

Okay, just to let you guys know... (only the functional tested features, more yet to come before v1.2 gets released).

1. There is a configurable vibrate/audio notification whenever there is a successful bluejack!

2. Bluebeam has been renamed "Sendfile" and can now send files via infrared and bluetooth. This unlike other implementations from other guys allows you to send a file of any size from your P800 to other OBEX compliant devices via (IR or BT).

3. There is a quick menu/shortcut to access the IR and BT settings directly from SMan.

4. There is an Autostart menu in SMan, this gives you the option of auto starting SMan when you switch on your P800. You are also given a choice of selecting three (3) other applications which you would like to autostart. You are also given a delay parameter for each application so that you can control the launch of each application thus allowing that app to run, and allocate the amount of memory it requires contagiously before the next app run (this prevents memory fregmentation).

5. There is also an "Ignore harakiri" where you can configure SMan to ignore the OS's "suicide" command when it needs more free memory.

6. Various other internal changes, improvements, fixes not obvious to users.

There are a few other things we would like to do, and we plan to make other commercial applications obsolete.
