@ Smokinman
I totally agree with u and i still feel that a sofware upgrade will allow for mermory stick duo pro support because if sony can release an upgrade for their clies to work with the pro, they can certaily do it for the p800. i would also like to point out that the march 2003 whitepapers for the p800 say that the limitation on the duo size will be increased. im just waiting for the upgrade now

Yoshi,

You seem to have missed the all important post...

It appears that the P800 does not need a firmware update to work. It already does.

Sage, if you get the chance can you also ask about the screen colour depth of the P900. The P800 is 12bit, and most places have been saying 'the P900 has the same 16bit screen as the P800'. !!!

ok the thing about the firmware when i tested out the p800 with the duo pros was i actually did not write down everything. i saw R2F and thats all i remembered. I could not write down anything so i couldnt remember all the numbers after but im assuming its the same firmware. or maybe only r2f not exatly sure...

anyway i CAN definetly confirmed that the p800 DOES work with the Duo Pro I saw it filled up with a combination of tv eps and music. Anyway I really cant wait till tommorow!!!!!!!!!!

I dont exactly understand what you mean by 16 bit 12 bit

I thought the p800 was 4000 bits or something

Clockspeed as I said before might not get an exact answer but I will be able to tell you if its faster or not.

I DID (called up) get an answer for the Duo Pro Parallel / serial question though

The P800 runs the Duo Pro in paralell mode meaning fast mode. Hope that helps.

@ Verm

I am very lucky i
know

1. Memory
2. metal or plastic ( although alot of my questions will not be answered ill try to tell by feel etc)
3. Processor (might not get exact statement but ill tell you if its faster etc.)
4. Undo Feature
5. Movie Playing
6 16 Bit (not sure I understand this questoin do you mean like colors like the p800's 4,000?

you are lost. 4096 is the number of colours that what your thinking. Bits is ... I dont know but a gameboy is 16 or 32bit I think advance is 32bit, wow a gameboy advance has a better screen then our P800???

I was sure we had a 16bit but I was wrong. Maybe it is a 12bit. I dont know how you are going to find that out without looking in some type of manual!

GBA has a 32 bit processor not a 32bit screen

p800 has 12bit colours depth screen 4096 colurs

p900 suposdley has a 16Bit colour screen capeable of 65,536 colours.

Sage how tell us how you get to do all this as you appear to be a student. are you lying or what?

Now, this definately surprise me. MSPro running in paralell is a LOT faster than in serial mode. Faster than regular Conpact Flash. Really looking good.

Soon, P800 is going to have a Camcorder that can record video realtime to the memory stick directly.

Sage, the Phone Firmware might be R2F but the Organizer Version might be different than what we currently have.

6 16 Bit?

1. 14 MB Available 16 in total
2. Plastic, subject to change as this is only a prototype, but metal also costs $$$ (i was told this)
3. I was not told this, but it WAS faster than my p800
4. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS (but it has some bugs for example sometimes if you have 2 apps on at once it will undo in BOTH apps >_5. Movie Playing in Full Screen is better than the p800
6 Yes 16 bit at 65.5 k colors.

I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy with the phone. It is GREAT! OS upgrade really improves alot on my list lol. The phone on startup says P900 CD said p810 and back of battery said p900 prototype. very goooooooooooooooooooooooooood. lol. I was not allowed to write down firmware. I will be coming back tommorow and he might show me something else or the same.

Now get this, I saw a TV Tuner Duo???? I didt get a chance to try it or even see if it was a dud (like the pic we saw) but i saw it. I also saw (but didnt try) a z600 there.

@Verm yes I am a student, I am VERY lucky thats all ill say .

ah yes sorry i forgot to say

for all those who still do not believe

the p900 flip IS removeable (there are metal connectors where the flip connects) this is a big improvement and avoids broken screens when pressing buttons too hard.
