I prefer the x-box by far. However, nothing can beat the classic consoles. I still have the original nintendo and the SEGA megadrive! The old games are so cool. This message was posted from a Nokia

I have a Super Famicom at the mo witha GAmmy Co 3.5 sisk copier. MMMMM sweet, got around 700 games at the mo, all copied from carts over the years. I havent even considered getting them online. I wouldnt know were to start anyhoo.

Its a shame there isnt a legal market for the copiers as I hardly use it anymore.

I also just reembered I have one fo those Nintendo flip open donkey kong games, wonder if thats worth anything... will go check ebay!

how exciting

i hate you and your kind

seriously though, i think the xbox will make rapid gains in the coming year simply due to its architecture. game developer's are already finding that it is easier to write games for the xbox than ps2. one example i can think of is V8 Supercars Australia Race Driver 2 (which i think in europe goes under the title of TOCA Race Driver 2) will initiall only be available for pc and xbox. the ps2 version will be a long time coming, if ever, because the coding is between two and three times as complex.

Get a decent controler and I might think about XBox. Until then, nope.

you want classic gaming, you need MAME....available for PC...get all the classic arcade games from PONG to Defender on it and your away...BombJack rulez.

bahbahsupercar,
had a Famicom with that box on top your talking about....updated it to the Nintendo64 & Doctor64 addon that did the same thing only with CD's instead of 3.5 disks...stuck in the loft now as i've got MAME on the xbox but very nostalgic indeed.

just thought i would add

actually the xbox has a 32 bit processoer where as the Ps2 has a true 128 bit processor. The Xbox has to go through 4 clock cycles to out put the same amount of data the ps2 out puts in one clock cycle this is why the xbox needs the more processing power to keep up with the ps2 also the only reason the xbox has good graphics is because it has a Nvidia GPU

finally the date of thes pad design is irrelavant waht matters is that the design works and the ps2 pad design works great unlike the god awfull xbox pad your forced to buy another smaller pad just so you can play with out hand cramp also the xbox needs you to buy a crap plug just to watch DVD's! Incidently a company bought out an adapter which allows you to use your ps2 pad on the Xbox it sold like mad microsoft had to pay the company off to stop producing them as they were suffering from pad sales what does this tell you about the crappy xbox pad

its game play that counts not graphics ps2 has the quality games first with more than acceptable graphics.

Tekken
Smackdown
GTA
Final Fantasy
PES
Metal Gear Solid
Devil May Cry
Gran Turismo
Force feedback racing wheel

the list goes on ps2 has the most AAA titles as exclusives whilst your playing old games which have been out for ages.

You need the xbox mod simply because it looks butt ugly and weighs a flipping ton.
