@jojo-actually the first calculator was the abacus-invented 1000's of years ago. However, i think HP invented the first modern calculator (with chips and everything!, not the binary code light calculator!) The chinese did not invent calculus.

Leibniz and Newton invented calculus, working separately. That is why there are 2 methods (generally speaking) we use when performing calculations. i.e. Leibniz notation for differentiation vs. newtonian notation...
