Im a Gen-X music junkie, and 32 MB of Music is not enuf for me, I'd go for Motorola's E398, suits me very well...just a thought.

The K700 has been out in the gray markets for a while now... P28,000. For that price with no warranty... no thanks. I'd gladly wait for Semicon to get it.

no way! i got mine 2days ago as well in semicon for 25,500! in podium! where did you get yours? and why cheaper?! it's cool.. bigger than i expected but it's quite sleek and clear...

my only problem is when i was changing numbers in my address book, i had difficulty changing the cel numbers from home to mobile coz i had to input the data and delete using c button for every digit. is there a faster way to do this? i switched phones from nokia to t610 to nokia and now k700 so i just use the impt numbers in my sim and the numbers get all fxcked up when you transfer it. i dunno if it'll work using a pc suite, coz i dunno if it's compatible and i never reallly tried. still unlike nokia, it's a hassle to switch the number from home/mobile/work/other/fax wo actually deleting and re-writing the number. if there's a qucik way, pls let me know!

another sucky thing is i think it says somewhere in the handbook you have to turn the cel off when charging. i hope i misread it. someone pls enlighten me.

@tria
try to press and hold the "C"lear button to remove the entry.

turn off the phone while charging? are you sure about that? i'm sure there's no harm charging it while it's off, but when it's on it would do "smart charging" instead

No, I think the manual meant that the phone charges faster if you turn it off... There shouldn't be any issues with charging while the phone is on.

Well, I have to try the 'final release' version of the K700 to see if the lag issues I experienced during the launch are really gone.

I tried it at the hub and I didn't notice any lag. it seemed instantaneous to me.

got my K700i on Friday and I've noticed an irregularity with the battery. Seems that the indicator is not calibrated OR it just gobbles up the juice right away.

charged it friday night and by saturday noon it was in the red. later in the afternoon it did go up a bit (around 1/3, but still red). charged it during the afternoon and saturday night it was alright. had to charge it again sunday morning.

heard (third hand info) from an SE insider and he said there will be an update to resolve this soon.

overall i am impressed with the phone- to think i've been an SE user since the R320 days.
