@Krumbach,

Here you go:

UNBRANDED
Phone: R3F008 prgCXC125935_EU_1_T
LCD: 200211260
Camera: 1.0
ITP: CXC 125 924 R2A
Customization:cxc 12594 1 R3F008 EU_2
CDA 102310/34 R3A

I am currently in Kuwait and had a very hard time getting it upgraded. It seems that because my phone was an E-Plus version, SE had to authorize the svc ctr a connection to the EMMA 2 server. Also, I through the box away that it came in and I had to use the DPY number so that they could upgrade the phone. It only took three calls from Kuwait to Germany on my part to get this done. SE is really making things difficult to flash the phones.

Quick obersvations: The phone is faster for sure. It does not sort of hang when an SMS is going out and one is coming back in. BT connections seem a bit faster. There is still the lag between the ring of the phone and actually connection to the caller, but the time seems about a second less than before(wish they could fix this). The phone book will allow a real name search using two or more characters.

I bought the phone new and unbranded in September (was one of the first to have the S700)

From what I can see my S700i has the O2 firmware that is stated on the first page by Krubach but I bought the unbranded version of the S700i and it was/has never been simlocked.

Is the new firmware available in the UK yet ?

I got an unbranded S700 on the week they came out in the UK. I have firmware R3B032 prgCXC 125935_EU_1_T

I was having some hassle with some features, such as the bluetooth being intermittant, and other minor niggles. I took it to get the firmware updated, and I then got it back 4 hours later with THE SAME FIRMWARE, apparently this is the latest release.

If the phone was purchased from a uk shop then it should have Eu software on it. The only difference should be the languages though so I wouldnt worry to much. Where did you get it? I have my suspitions where you got it from already (not critisising you).
