Ehm, when i started this topic i did not think that i would be as large as it has become. So maby i have had a point...?
But i have some comments and for one why cant anyone compair SE with Nokia? They are both in the same market and are compiting with one and other. So Nokia has more models but still the fact remains that both Nokia and SE losing market against the asian competitors. And i think that is because they wont listen to the market. They just releases "same models" with just some upgrades. When 3G will be the biggest market SE and Nokia will be small companies and NEC,LG and so on will be the biggest. SE has only 2 3G phones v800 (only for vodafone) and z1010. V800 is a upgrade of the z1010 and soon they will release even an new upgrade (so i heard) that will be another upgrade of the z1010 and will be named z1020.
I dont care about nokia i am only buying SE phones but soon i realy must have better phone then my k700 and SE seams not to release any new phone model.
Btw, the s700 is a great phone but i do not think it is worth its price..

haha, absolute correct! It seams forbidden to give SE criticism. Btw Nokia have introduced new models. And one is some kind of a communicator that maby and probably will kick SE P910īs ass...

i think anyone suggesting S.E is not a serious player is ill-informed. Ericsson owns more relevant I.C in the mobile area than any other technology company and Sony are the undisputed heavy weights of consumer electronics. Both companies are finacially healthier than any other competing company. I think the marriage [be it happy or otherwise] between Euro & Jap tech giants is actually f-ing scarey!

If you would call SE boring simply because you don't get the model you want, the same logic would make all companies boring too. So what's the big deal? All companies are merely taking different business strategies to deal with consumer's demands and competitor's threats/weaknesses.

What?! You clearly haven't got the faintest idea what you are talking about, let alone be basing any of it on any sort of factual knowledge. If this is the sort of crap you are going to post, to try and emphasise some sort of point about the bias in this forum, all you are proving is that you are more stupid than anyone you're criticising. After I had my first SE, the T68i, I've never looked back. Only when UIQ got too cumbersome with the need for 2-handed operation.
So I've jumped to Windows Mobile (I couldn've done Series 60, but I dread Nokia).
I long to own a Sony Ericsson, because the phones feel really solid, and you can feel the care they put into the materials, finishes, user interface graphics, and UI logic. If you think a company that puts in so much more effort into small little details like those above is boring, then I'd rather buy phones from a boring company.
Nokia may be 'exciting' with the colours and shapes they put out, but really, look beyond that and what do you see? Nothing. At least for me.
And, oh yeah, you can rhyme motorola and samsung with 'BORING'.
Now I'm only waiting for them to develop UIQ into a 1-hand operation OS.
