Not very long at all. Played about 2 hours today, 2 or 3 yesterday and monday, and about 3 on saturday. There are no really hard bits. Just bits where you wonder where to go. Well there's one really hard bit actually. I did that bit last night. All reviews say you can run through it in 10 hours, sounds about right to me.

I've not spoiled anything yet though. All the reviews have tonnes of spoilers. Don't expect box the stuff you saw in e3 videos. This topic seems full of hardcore halo fans, the last level will probably really disappoint you lot. Can't tell you why right now. Apparently this is the biggest 24 hour money spinner ever in usa. Across all media types, $100 million dollars mr gates has estimated on opening day sales. More than any movie or ps2 game!

How glitchy is the FMV in HALO 2! a couple of military characters at the beginning of the game cant seem to turn their upper bodies at the same time as their legs, it looks so bad it makes you laugh. and there is loads of pop up in the FMV too, The ingame graphics are great but not mind blowing, however the single player mode IMO appears to be better than some reviewers maked out. I have'nt had the opportunity of playing online yet. what do you guys think so far? worth the wait or not! to me its just another decent Xbox shooter with bolts on.

Well, am buying Halo 2 tonight... Should be fun. I think I'll play through the single-player campaign in Co-Op first, any suggestions for the difficulty level I should start on? (I have completed Halo 1 in Legendary [Every level] and I've been to at least 15 LANs...)

@ nick sounds like you're a true veteran of the Halo, so for you i suggest nothing but the Legendary mode, i have a hard enough time on Heroic, but i'm not that good a player.

SPOILER !!!!!
I was confused when the masterchief turned out into an elite lol. I love the sword, it's so powerfull especially against the flood and was surprised to see them back. I played 3 hours so I don't know the whole story but I think I will buy the books as I don't really understand the story right now.

Hehe, i still havent gotten Halo 2, but i know the master chief doesnt turn into an Elite. Spoiler below, highlight to read!
-----
The elite you speak of is master chiefs counterpart, "the arbiter", who you play as, but is NOT the master chief
