pardon me for diverting from the topic.. But what exactly is the maximum possible theoretical speed possible on a gprs modem in ideal conditions? Whenever i connect i get an indication that i'm connected at 921.6 kbps..but it obviously is not so..

Its bout 114kbps...wat you see is the connection speed between the modem(phone) and pc, you can easily change it from modem settings n you have selected the highest value but that is of no significance actually. Btw edge has a speed of 384kbps
