Hi Folks,

sorry for asking dumb questions - but I'm pretty new to this. I thought I have to finde someone with an EMMA II to flash my v800. But all I've read here sounds good...

So I need to do the following - right?

1. Download the Software at SETOOL (which one? standalone doesn't work - gives some strange .dll error - the other one seems to work).

2. Get this T28 Service cable?! (This one is serial not USB, right). I might have one in my cable box back from the good old T28 days...

3. Now I have to download what to flash my v800? (which file do I need for german language?).

4. After the flash, everything works like before?

5. Is there any chance for full-screen UMTS video/TV like on Motorola E1000?

6. If I don't like the "free" software or have to give my phone back to vodafone for support - where do I get the original vodafone Firmware from?

Hello,

SEtool can do all you ask. But you do need T28 serial cable! It must be a Service cable though NOT a data cable.

Or Fighter USB cable.

Download Setool comport client logger version not standalone or ufs box.

Bugs i have noticed:

1) When playing sound files, there is a significantly loud pop/click sound on the external speaker after each file is played.

2) On inserting the SIM card after flashing, the phone did not copy all contacts from SIM, instead it deleted it

Anyone else have this problem?

Try writing gdfs to the phone (will need unlock afterwards) to fix the unwanted noise.

I didnt have that but i have deliberatly got it to test your bug. Also i think a reflash will help.

After d/loading the v800 gdfs file, where do i insert it in SE Tool?

I want to insist on formulate the same question than previous, if i flash the Z800 Fw into my V800, i could be able of reflash it to the previous Voda-branded FW?? From where i can download the branded Fw version?? Or the SETool makes a backup of the Fw before flashing it???

All available fw is in Setool support area. Including Voda branded.

yo yo yo!!! Z800 features the Mega Bass,

erm.. after flash from V800 to Z800 fm, does it have the same stuff? oh gosh.. the Z800 really look so nice.. waiting to change the cover!!
