@dfathi
Try uploading this file into your phone's FS:

This is a little bit of an advanced user action so I hope you have experience in modding phones.

Hi people
Been a good long while since I was here , first of all many many thanks to all those smarter than me who have helped me and others to mod our phones , keep up the amazing work .

Just updated my uk O2 mobile (think they come unlocked but with mild O2 branding on) from CPW to the R1EA033 firmware with CDA 1205-9079 (from what I remember reading earlier this seems to be some sort of euro CDA ? not too sure though) And using it on T-Mobile uk . Now the phone is snappier in the menus / etc and I get an improved battery performance (in standby at least) . The phone also "shows" a stronger signal reception but now fluctuates wildly even if I pick the phone up or put it down . Also unlike some others have reported if the signal is weak I get "emergency calls only" not an improved signal lock. My friend has a W580i on the same network and stood at the side of him in various locations where the signal is weak he gets reception circa 1-2 bars sometimes 3 and I get emergency calls only ?? This only seems to be the case since I updated , although admittedly he has always had *slightly* better reception , but not to this extent. Anyone else had this problem ? Or know of a fix ? Would changing my CDA so that I can "rollback" my firmware help , as 032 seemed to have a much more stable signal lock .

P.S. The instructions to do anything would need to have pretty pictures and large simple step by step instructions as I'm a bit of a numpty with technical things .

A big thanks to anyone and everyone who can /will help with this in advance . Cheers guys .

I've not got the R1EA033 update here in Singapore, Asia. Anyone from Asia got it?

This is the worst of all:
10) Possible bug - when writing an SMS, pressing '*' with a word highlighted will not always chage it to upper or lower case. It actually does change, just not when highlighted. This could be potentially annoying.

really bad

Hi guys,

Does anyone know why I cannot update my firmware over using the option in the settings menu?

I'm in the UK if that helps.

Maybe U've got wrong CDA or update for your operator isn't ready yet. Try SEUS.
