Oh and I am impressed by the sound in this thing, and volume!

how’s the quality of the sound in the range?

Would you test the following and moderate volume please on the speakers?

thanks.

Bass Mekanik “Bass Test” & Silicon Sound System “Bass Test 360 Hz - 10 Hz” (this is more intertaining).

Cheers and congrats on the new kit!

Once again, Sony limits SD card R/W speeds

I got 2 questions about this besides no sound or commentary at all.

1. is this test app been updated for the Xperia 1 mark 2? And for this Android OS?

2. what’s with the “+26” in the math of this video for?

Lastly there should have been a comparison with the same app on the other device shown, double blind test using the same card. Also card should ALWAYS be formatted in the device before testing.

It is suspicious to me as well. There are lots of complaints all over the internet about SD card speeds being limited, but I don't know if that's true or not. My XZ Premium is not limited whatsoever and I can't imagine what purpose Sony would put a limit on sd card speeds.

the video linked above - right after he inserts the sd card in, the video cuts. we don't know if it's the same sd card. hell, do we even know if that is the xperia 1ii? I can't tell from the front alone.

1. The video is not uploaded by me. I don't know. This is for Android

2. 2 minutes 26 seconds = 146 seconds(60x2+26)

anyway -

who is getting a screen protector? I am contemplating whether I want one or not. i hate the feeling of screen protectors and shouldn't GG6 be sufficient? But at the same time, if I were to get a scratch, I'd be very pissed.

I have received my purple Xperia 1 II, and I am mostly happy with it.
The purple color wasn't too pronounced as I first thought it would be.
The lack of 90Hz display hurts a little bit though.

Considering you cant have 90 and 4K same time.
810 was first to support 4K, but still 60.

Also be sure 4K90 would use at least 15-20% more battery.
Is it worth it?
