You do need to do a bit more research.
Qatar is the richest nation in the world per capita.
Dubai is the richest in regards to business organizations.
Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi are all Oil rich nations.
Brunei, Eqypt, and Turkey are rich because of Tourists.
Please list which countries you think are poor.
The link between Islam and poor nation is non-existant.
As for the richest countries on earth are Christian. If you're referring to America, America owes the world so much money, you can't believe.
It owes ALOT to Saudi.
The UK isn't that rich, otherwise would it need to charge 17.5% Tax on everything?
Think about it.
oh and you need to remember something, you just linked Paedophilia with the religion but then said you didn't... contradictions.
I think what he meant was Poor as in your everyday person..... And you are right that those countries are Rich Im just trying to clear up what he was saying
At the same time there are alot of Islamic countries that are poor.......
Does it make any diffrence,I wouldn't think so......

if he means everyday person then I think he'd be wrong as well because look at Bahrain, Dubai, Qatar for example, they have alot of money per capita (per person)
Also, you have to remember that the cost of living in our countries are much lower than in the UK for example.
I bought a flat here for 175K, I could have bought 2 average sized homes back in my country.
This flat is made from freaking cardboard and plaster, and in my country it'd be all cement.
With 4 pounds I could feed a family of 4 and with 4 pounds I can probably get a big mac meal here for just myself.

Chapter 24 Verses 34/35 from the Glorious Quran states:
Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The Parable of His Light is as if there were a Niche and within it a Lamp: the Lamp enclosed in Glass: the glass as it were a brilliant star: Lit from a blessed Tree, an Olive, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil is well-nigh luminous, though fire scarce touched it: Light upon Light! Allah doth guide whom He will to His Light: Allah doth set forth Parables for men: and Allah doth know all things.
Lit is such a Light in houses, which Allah hath permitted to be raised to honour; for the celebration, in them, of His name: In them is He glorified in the mornings and in the evenings, again and again.
Great words from the Creator of Mankind, All praise is for Allah, The One The Only.

I was going by a general rule of thumb - take a look at this list
http://www.nationsonline.org/oneworld/GNI_PPP_of_countries.htm
All the bottom countries in the richest colour code are non muslim and there are not that many in the next colour code also... I was just wondering why, (if Islam is actually the true religion of the one God) isn't Muslim countries the richest or at least up there with the richest.. After all, they have the most natural resources, so the SHOULD be the richest...

Why should ISLAMIC countries be the richest in wealth?
Rich or Poor, the truth is Islam is the fastest growing religion on the face of the earth and money has nothing to do with it.

@pleber, I think you're statement would be more accurate that African countries are poor not Muslim countries.
You also used the world ALL Muslim countries.
edit: that link doesn't show accuracy as well.
That shows how much money a country gets per capita.
So if I get 1000000000000 Per capita, that'll show me as number one,
but if I OWE 999999999999999999999999, guess how poor my country is going to be.

Verses 33-35 Chapter 21 from the Glorious Quran states:
It is He Who created the Night and the Day, and the sun and the moon: all the celestial bodies swim along, each in its rounded course.
We granted not to any man before thee permanent life here, if then thou shouldst die, would they live permanently?
Every soul shall have a taste of death: and We test you by evil and by good by way of trial. to Us must ye return.

Peter_Kay - I wasn't linking the growth of Islam to the richness or poorness of countries, it was a separate point.
I did use the word "all" when I made my point which I know is incorrect.
That list is quite accurate - It may not take debt into account but it is generally recognised as who’s rich and who’s not.. (Here’s one on Purchasing power
http://www.nationsonline.org/oneworld/GNI_PPP_of_countries.htm) Anyway, everyone can see that most Islamic countries are poor. You get the odd exception (usually very small populated countries - Qatar = less than a million.
I was just wondering why so many Islamic countries, especially those with huge natural resources are so poor, while western countries, most of whom do not have half as much natural resources are so much richer… I was wondering if democracy had anything to do with it? What do you think?

I think that question should be asked to the govermental bodies of the countries in question, why they are poor is nothing to do with religion!
When we die, we wll not be asked how rich or poor we were? we will be asked 'what good deeds have you bought with you' and this is what we all will answer when the eyes of our hearts will open.
Chapter 25 Verses 69 and 70 from The Glorious Quran states:
But the Penalty on the Day of Judgment will be doubled to him, and he will dwell therein in ignominy,
Unless he repents, believes, and works righteous deeds, for Allah will change the evil of such persons into good, and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful,
