@ amawanqa, I just found some of the Prayer Chain music on Amazon.com, or sound clips. Like what I heard, but my pc started to crash. Your wife should like reason. It is powerful, but possible to use if you put time into it. Go to http://www.propellerheads.se/ to find out more. Think they have a student package specifically aimed at beginners and students.Reason is good for a lot I want to do, but I think there are better hardware devices at 10 times the price that can do a fraction of what reason can do, but do it well, so economically and to throw stuff together, Reason is it. Lots of top producers use it. Apparently the last Prodigy CD was almost entirely made in Reason. Just an idea, everything in my track except for my backing vocals originated in Reason. Even the guitars. I will still replace it with real guitars when I get to record real guitars for it, but yeah. The packages I used is truly powerful used together.

@medusa: They were probably drinking a home-brewed concoction. I don't mess with that stuff unless my mother made it.

@psycho: Which one? Down at the Waterfront or is there another fest in the Boland.

Weather caught me off guard this morning after weeks of what seemed like tropical heat...from my office window I can see the sun coming out again.

This will probably be the last post from me for today.

@ everyone who has/will try to listen to my song...much appreciated=)

@ psycho, details in your inbox...

@ EVERYONE, well done on the 8000: it has had a lot put into it, and I am glad I got to be involved with it the last little while...To the next 8000!
So here is the plan of action...listen up, it took me 3 minutes to formulate....

The Portuguese forum is next, only 400 to catch up with..then we are ahead of them, second in Europe, Middle East and Africa....
Peru can be taken out soon after, since we are about a 1000 posts behind... then Malaysia is going down, but that's going to require a stiff 4000 to catch up...India is going to be tough, so we can leave them...for now=) Slovakia will require an army, so let's not try until we have an army....

What you guys think? lol! we should go fishing at prodigits for a couple of oaks...we can apprentice them to become wise jedi...

tomorrow then!

@ Francois, thanks for the info. I'd have to say it's only the Mercury album that stands out; their other efforts like Antarctica etc are more run-of-the-mill stuff and wouldn't really fit into the same category.

ROLMAO @ francoislr plans for world domination.

I never quite thought of it like that...we're definitely one of the more active threads on Esato...there's always something happening in SA and Esato is nice place to share all the happenings with fellow Africans and SE fiends.

The Slovak thread is a chat room...I fell asleep during the Slovak language lessons but what I know is that those guys hardly post in any other threads on Esato...you'll find a guy who's been registered since 2003 still on one/two/three posts.

Naija is seemingly in a deep slumber...see what happens when there's no more free GPRS!

Yep, well done everybody, we're really zipping along very nicely, so the plan by Mr.Intrepid aka Francois could very well be a game-plan

Sooo, what are we doing tonight, Brain?
Same thing we do every night, Pinky... Take over Esato!!

@Medusa, you lucky fish, you'll probably get to see the lightie before i do, they're only bringing him down in December, although the grandparents are headed your way next week.

So, Mrs.K has announced that she needs a new phone... Her requirements are: something that can multi-task (her version of multi-task is that it can browse and have a game running simultaneously), takes good pix, has expandable memory and it needs to be LOUD when necessary, since the phone usually resides inside her carry-all, along with the microwave, fridge and freezer. Any ideas? Oh, no flip-phones either...

Finally, the Welkom Yizani share offering is closing in a few days, mense. Those who qualify, is you in or is you out? I'm tossing my shirt in...

Great to see Gameloft and UIQ have got something going:
http://www.esato.com/news/article.php/id=1205

Just got back from central London; we went to go buy the train tickets to Birmingham for the International Motorcycle Show. We were contemplating driving up, but with all the roadworks and traffic along the M6 and M1, we opted for Mr. Branson's finest (high-speed tilting trains) to get us there.

There was quite a few W850i posters around the stations, featuring ex-'No Doubt' lead singer Gwen Stefani.

Borat fever is picking up; this was one of the ads at Euston tube station:

..and even in one of the free London newspapers today:

Checked out the size of the 'Tellyphone' a.k.a. Virgin Lobster 700 at the local Carphone Warehouse, compared to a K750i...there's some serious girth there too:
