Not sure if this should be here or in the Xperia Z thread, but Sony are testing an AT&T version of Xperia Z. I know this because I have a good friend who was sent a proto model directly from Kaz's office.

And what Spectre51 would say about that info?

sigh....I would say the same thing I have been saying. The C6606 is compatible with AT&T LTE yes but it is NOT coming to AT&T. Nothing has changed, they are not picking up the phone. If I hear something different I will let you know. Just because it works on AT&T doesn't mean its an AT&T version.

Are you sure it's bell? last time I heard it will be Rogers exclusive (ATT's sister north of the border when it comes to LTE etc)

Does android phone really bring a profit to a company(No saying samsung)?

It shouldn't be about Android bringing profit to a company, but rather a company taking Android and turning it into something they can differentiate themselves with and make money off of, right now only Samsung are capable of that, Htc were doing it as well up until 2011.

Same thing with WP, Firefox OS etc... It's not down to the OS, it's down to how a company can use that OS to generate profit.

Shame about SMC not making any profit, it's no surprise though, no part of those results is.

@Tsepz_GP 90% of what companies add to the OS imo is never or barely used. Imo if they stopped spending so much money on changing Android, focused on added applications like camera, music etc, optimization of the OS/apps and the hardware they would stop confusing people and sell more.
Samsungs' Galaxy S series is popular mostly for its hardware. Amoled just makes most people go WOW, despite its problems. The SoCs they use score well in benchmarks and their imaging is decent. TouchWiz on the other hand is not highly regarded, and this goes for most, if not for all skins, especially from Android 4.0 and onward. All reviews find something good in each skin but most of the skin just confuses and ruins the Android experience. Samsung are just riding the hype they created with their first Galaxy Ss which have been getting worse and worse all around but still manage to deliver on par with the competition. The latest Nexus devices are highly regarded not only because of their timely OS updates but the OS experience as a whole. Nexus devices have been lagging on the hardware side though. A Nexus device that can outshine the competition in hardware imo will most likely sell the most... All these companies are so worried about differentiating their OS experience when they should be doing what they're good at, differentiating their hardware. After all they are NOT software giants like Google, MS, Apple, FB etc.

Don't feed the troll guys !

This is Sony rumor thread, no need to discuss about Samsung here and nor do we need Samsung fanboy expert comments.

So just ignore and move on.
