For all those wondering about the myths and truths about battery charging and what not try this link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/[....]prolonging_Li-ion_battery_life
Not only do they describe the pros (no memory effect) and the cons (starts aging from the moment they are manufactured), but also proper care and what not to do (never drain it to 0%).
Hope it helps.

Thanks Siosal, I'm sure that'll clear a lot of misconceptions between old ni-cads and lithium ion.
It's amazing how battery technology is evolving, particularly as of late, if one also looks at advances in lithium polymer (li-po) and nickel metal hydride cells (nimh) too.
BTW guys, I stumbled across another site for free wallpapers. Nowhere near what
http://www.zedge.net offers, but nevertheless:

btw, i see that the
Online fraudster has been arrested.
"THE Scorpions have arrested a man believed to be behind at least 120 counts of online bank
fraud.
The 28-year-old man, whose name has not been released because of an ongoing
investigation, was arrested two weeks ago after a joint operation between the Scorpions, Standard Bank and a UK-based security consultancy, which traced the man through his prepaid SIM card on his cellphone...."
"When Scorpions officials arrested the man, they found a laptop computer, three cellphones and 20 SIM cards at
his premises..."
"The fraudulent transactions were all conducted using
Vodacom's data service and the
mobile number used was identified in close collaboration
with Vodacom...."
See?? I said it wasn't me

Haven't felt as tired as I'm feeling right now in a while. I cancelled drinks tonight with some friends because my body was telling me "no, save yourself"... I couldn't deny it.

Tell me about it, an early night is just what the doctor ordered, boet. My sister tells me that she and my nephew have been doing the mother-son bonding thing already... lol, from midnight till 04h30 this morning!
@Psycho, how's the studying going? When do you write?

@Kryptik, the studying's NOT going. I'm beginning to worry. I write on 2, 3, 6, 13, 15, and 17 November. I don't know why I'm shooting myself in the foot like this when my ambitions are nothing to scoff at. And I'm a bright crayon especially in the light of these exams. Well this is what happens when I begun to realise that life is more than writing exams and doing well. But before I launch into deep psychoanalyses of my selfperception and how that has catalysed a vicious cycle of underachievement: I'll shut up.
Ahh. Friday. This weekend I get to go celebrate my step-grandmother's 80th birthday. I cannot stand the woman. I first met her at my father's wedding. The next time we met, she asked me "Oh are you Emma? I think I saw you at the wedding but I wouldn't have recognised you." Please note, I am my father's only daughter and I did the scripture reading in the church that day. I want to whack the hag. Hard.

I'm battling to get to sleep, and we have to get up early tomorrow to get to the NEC in Birmingham. Maybe I need to dig out that book by modern-day genius Stephen Hawking called 'A Brief History Of Time' again and try develop my limited grasp of quantum dynamics and theorems further...methinks that'll be of more value than counting sheep.
