@ wanqa, I tried to read "A Brief History Of Time" when I was like 16 or something...found it very interesting, but did not get very far. It was at someone else's place, so I could never get a hold of it again. And had like 20 minutes with the book. I wonder why I did that? Did I somehow think that picking up a Stephen Hawking book would increase my intellectual capacity and improve my reading so much that I would finish it in 20 minutes flat?
Right now I have no desire to pick up that book ever again. Maybe one day I will have the guts to.
Anyhow, @ psycho, the studying thing and I are enemies as well. The fact that I did absolutely nothing all year is also in the run against me. I have never been able to study. I sometimes think it is a miracle that I passed High School, especially since I slept through most of it. I can identify with all you said. Or I can just be straight about it concerning me: I am lazy. And I lack all forms of discipline. I have mused these things over in my mind (while escaping the responsibility of having to wash dishes or something like that) and tracked it down to school sport. I started playing Rugby in St.1. Somewhere a few weeks later I realized that I know nothing about rugby, and do not particularly want to learn anything about it, and that I do not care what anybody thinks, and that the system is screwed up. I took a plummet in popularity right there, but at least I was not one of the rats in the rat race. Now the downside of not really being involved in sport is the lack of discipline.There is a certain amount of discipline that goes hand in hand with sport. I never had that, so I lack quite a bit of necessary discipline. So how is that for a excuse? lol!

Friday is going well. Working hard, as never. The taxis seemed to be on the road as usual, fewer, of course...But they were there. Hectic traffic though, so an alternate route had to be found.
So last night we went to Cuban Cafe. Had some expensive cigars, but it is like we get a cigar, and everyone shares...Those Cubans are HUGE! The one we had last night was well over R200...Let me never waste my money like that...It is official: i have hair on my chest hair now...and a huge hole in the back of my head...but those cigars were good, especially the expensive one. It was easier to puff it than the cheaper one, but also much stronger.
Anyone else into the occasional cigar?

I probably resemble someone in a seriously lobotomised state due to my apparent lack of sleep; we're currently in a coffee shop at Euston station, waiting to board the train. @ Francois, Stephen Hawking even featured in one of the episodes of The Simpsons...his wheelchair had all manner of gadgetry, including folding helicopter rotors, etc. I admire the fact that despite his longstanding struggle with motor neuron disease, he has still achieved so much in both his personal life and in his specialised fields of physics,maths, etc. What a triumph of the human spirit!

@Francois, i do smoke the occasional cigar, very rarely though. It's a fact that the pricier cigars are far smoother, one could easily get used to it

Hey everyone,
The taxi strike was a bit ridiculous here, with taxis blocking most of the offramps on the M1 and the M2. Luckily for me I don't live far from work work and only take the back roads. Most of my colleagues got to work really late after having to take longer detours.
But anyway, just so that all of ya'll know, I'm off for the rest of the afternoon to SAB's World of Beer for lunch while you guys are slaving away! I don't drink beer but I believe they have a bar that stocks an assortment of goodies, so Southern Comfort and lime it will be, otherwise I'll have to settle for good old Hunters or Savannah.

We just had o robbery...some guys walked in as potential buyers...left alone in the board room, went into the adjoining office, took a laptop, and had to "urgently leave". That sucks. Francois B is going to be unhappy...I still don't understand why the heck he did not take it to his meeting.
