I never spotted that and to be honest it does not bother me. Has anyone noticed I am sure it is not my imagination. Since the update the screen looks more vibrant colour and contrast wise. Looks better.

I test my X10 lately:

1. Well the first question I have is - why can't I login to Google account on WiFi when device has no SIM inserted? The internet works ok!

2. There's no fully configurable camera setting: like a "blank" one with all the options available for on/off???

3. There's no easy way to select any text???

I must say I hate onscreen keyboard, especially after excellent X2 hardware....
And the fact that in the landscape when I write text I see only one line, the whole screen is covered by this keyboard.

^ Yep, keyboard is a massive improvement. Auto word correction is miles on from the 1.6 version of the keyboard.

Well I switched my iPhone 4 with my wifes white x10 and man is this thing slow. Almost a lightyear behind regarding responsivness but I did not appreciate the iTunes chains so I will keep the x10 for now and hope for an update that will meet it`s potentiale

@doministry

#1 - don't all phones require SIM for you to start it up? It is a phone after all with wifi/internet capability and not vice versa. Though, I get your point and would be a nice option if you were abroad or something.

#2 - what do you mean?

#3 - can't answer it cause i haven't gotten the 2.1 update yet

Okay.....

As for #1
Nope the phone is fully functional without SIM and after connecting to WiFi
it browses perfectly but fails to log to Google.... But yes, it can be still lack of SIM.

#2
Well, on my X2 there's a custom setting in camera which allows to specify all the settings individually, not automatically.
In X10 apparently all is based on scenes/automatic settings...
