@ihe. Yes, it does. I used multilinks internet access for a while. My dad still does. I intend to get a starcomms line sometime this month and use their internet access as well.

@ihe: Yes, therez no daily access charge on MTS. Multilinks still charges that. Internet access is billed monthly flat rate. E.g. 8am-6pm daily: N10k monthly, while 24hr access is N15k. No dialup charges. Same for most PTOs.

@AYA , i think 10k monthly charge with Multilinks is still expensive, or will i say its the same cost with an ISP which charges N5000, for the same access (but with dial up), the only advantage is less hassles in getting a free dial up line.

Have u considered the Direct-to-home satellite companies like TITV and Trendnet? U get broadband access plus channels for 6k per month. That is what I want Next year. This message was posted from a T610

@angel. I disagree. On a dialup service, saying online for 10 hrs in 1 day alone costs N2,400 (at N4 per minute). Multiply that by 30 days, then add your N5k... and your purse is empty

@coola. I dont have details for TrendTV & co., but DSTV for example still actually requires you to dial up (and I should think that your PTO will bill that); its the download side of the connection that is broadband.

@AYA, well i guess my initial calculations was wrong, anyway, i dont think most offpeak users who are still on dial up access are heavy internet users, if not they would have realised the cost, epecially if they are paying as low as N2,000 per month for access from 11pm to 8am, most only connect btw 6-8am.

How well does the internet connection with multilinks run?

Beware of those Fixed Wireless Telcos. What they advertise is far from what they deliver! I went to cellcom Abuja with my 25k and started hearing new 'stories'. An extra cable of 5k. No more slots available except the midnight band. My area did not have enough coverage and so another antenna of 15k was needed. Beware, I say, BEWARE. This message was posted from a T610
