I really hope this gets an international release,
with an extended battery of 3,000+ mah this phone would be perfect for me.
If its japan only couldn't I just buy it unlocked somewhere online?
or is there certain hardware/software customization on the Japan only phones that would make this not possible?

So they figured, Sony can't do an Apple, at least not in this early stage of restructuring. And boy I hope they won't even think of abandoning the low-end market. Then there's the late update fiasco. Lesee how they would convince back the people who have lost faith. Release an update as soon as one month after a new Android version gets announced, for at least the high-ends or flagships first.

If I Have the choice I take a 5 device at 131x69 than a 4.6 device with the same size

Also, on that point someone asked ealier, I really hope it isn't only Japan exclusive. Does anyone know if you can buy one of these Japan exclusive handsets unlocked, online and get it shipped over to Europe and if it will still work or if the radio bands won't work here?
I also fully agree with the person that said mobile phones are getting too big these days. Any mobile below 5 inches is perfect - you don't need one any bigger as it's inconvenient.
