but surely the IMEI number only identifies it as a K750? or does it contain more detailed info like network and country?
IMEI is cross referenced against CDA. So they know what customisation belongs to your IMEI number. That's what they'll give you - branding relevant to the cda that your IMEI number is recorded against.
If it's a Vodafone Australia CDA for example, your phone will be flashed back to vodafone australia settings, using the most current firmware version approved for release by Vodafone Australia.

jeff the updated is like that... it will only detect the phone model once you plugged it... and so on...
but when youre in there... and do sumthin about the internal files of the phone.. the FAR manager crashes right? oh well you can revert back to the previous ver. anytime. i feel comfortable using that.

i had a R1BC fw right now and modded it with hybrid cam, unlimited sms, etc.; and i want to update it to R1CA.
my question is:
will all these modification be lost if i do the upgrade and will return to default drivers?

yes thats a good question.. if you are updating via SEUS.
will SEUS recognize your setting?
if it does.. then it will probably overwrite all your mods and give you a fresh factory made FW.

it'll look at your imei and cda and give you the latest firmware available for that cda. If the cda is Vodafone for example, you'll get the latest firmware approved by vodafone for release on their handsets.

SEUS seems to overwrite all mods made to the phone. I had a lot of small mods, eg menu icon names, and used SEUS and it reset them all to the presets. ah well c`est la vie!
