as far as the contacts picture, you cannot use the high resolution pics. instaed, downgrade the res to 640X480 and then assign the pic or take a new screen shot.

True, we're far behind others, cause we were the last country(I think) who've got the phone. It's a shame though that we had to wait for the p990 for so long and are behind with firmwares too.

You´re far from last - P990 isn´t officially launched in France yet lol

France, the country were P990 is being manufactured, remember??? lol

i gave up waiting. im free with kern errors and crashes. you know how i did it? sold my p990i and got an N93. ;)

Ah.... you actually took my advice ..... that's cool!

I'm keeping my p990 ..., there's no way a nokia is replacing it.

@antz88c: Good for you. If you're comparing an N93 to a P990, you should definitely not spend your hard earned cash on a P990.

We had Lars from Sony Ericsson to the AllAboutSymbian pub meet on Monday night. I asked him about the firmware and he confirmed week 48 as the general release of a new ROM....

So another month or so to wait 8-(

In a way I am glad they are taking the time to do this. Hopefully, this time the tests will be done proper and the bugs will be fixed once and for all.
I wouldn't want to implement a "cosmetic" fix every week...

The only this SE might be setting themselves up for a fall...if stupid bugs still exist after this update then they are going to have frustrated consumers....this is going to be a very important firmware update for them and the future of the p990i
