I spoke to a Vodafone representative yesterday and he confirmed that the W960i will ship December 9th (Sony Ericsson had informed Vodaone of this)- whether that includes all networks I do not know but at least we have a confirmed date now.

Can't wait for this phone!!

Is that for a Vodafone custom/branded version? If so then the generic device should be available earlier..

Well, this has been stated on the SE site for some time now -

Expected launch: Dec , 07

At least in the UK anyway.

Companies always announce what the next big thing is a long time before it is released, always been the same, always will be.

Just a simple question;

when you are writing an sms, how do you change words when you get several choices? It's easy and quick to change word on my w810. You just press the arrow down.

Is it as easy to do this at the W960i?

And to go into that: How does that handwire recognition work? If I write something down, the system will recognize it en convert it into digital characters? And does this really work fluently?

Vodafone in the UK still dont sell the P1, so I will not be holding my breath for the W960! I have heard a rumour (repeat) rumour that they are not going to be taking either device due to the P990 debacle. and they can sell all the blackberrys they can get.

if its like the w950, nope.
u need to use the scroll wheel or stylus to pick the desired word.
its simply not very usable with one hand.
