its really sad, bonovox.
to add to it, the aluminum frame got scratched and dents were evident. a very small part was missing on the lower right side.
i was thinking how can it break - aluminum is a strong material

Aluminium is not strong, some alloys are, question is which one is built in, broken frame and fried board are extreme faults, what has led to it?

my broken frame was caused by dropping my phone in a pile of rocks. shoulder-level drop.
a small portion was torn in the lower left part. you can tell that something was "missing" especially if you put the back cover

How would the main board become fired or fried??
When I had the Ray it never heated up as much as Arc did

I'm guessing it was a defective part already from the beginning so it was only a matter of time.
It got REALLY hot (the frame was almost scalding hot) so I shut it off, then when I plugged in the charger, it got hot again (even with the phone off)... then when I'd turn it on, it would drain faster than it charged.
They changed the main board. "main board shorted out" was the official item on the repair sheet.
--------------
I'm so glad to have my ray back... going back to my X10 Mini Pro, made me feel like when Ironman had to use his Mark I arc reactor after his Mark II was stolen by Obadiah Stane. Hahahahaha!

yes the small screen and HVGA res is hard to live with especially browsing the web. But it's decent as a back up device. My previous Arc S used to get really hot

Is it still under waranty, if not how much did cost? In my country price of Ray dropped 35 euros in 3 monts, like no other phone, I will have record loss on this phone, like it's beeing repaired
. Still trying to sell it, but selling anything goes hard those days.
