ok - fixed it now.
Had to buy 2 davinci logs, do a recover dead phone, and then a flash of the new firmwares.
Phew, it now works again.

And I actually only used one, the recoverpart was free
Plus it had the benefit of nomore camerashuttersound when phone is set to silent.

Unfortunately you cannot use your phone to connect to the internet while upgrading it at the same time, for the simple reason that the phone must be completely turned off during the update process (when the SEUS java application takes control of the phone through the DSS-25). I don't think you would want to download the update through GPRS anyway, since it's some tens of megabytes (including the Java app).

yep that was it...jvm was missing! the update worked out just fine now...
