Brick it may be but it also 18 months old and SE haven't matched it yet. As I like SE phones (which is why on visit this site) I think it a shame they can't do better. I still have a S700 (but use a K850) and it just stuffed the opposition for ages - I really wish SE could do that again.

ROFL! yeah, I thought Xenon should be the highest flash range, or else we'll only be able to take pictures of others once before they're all blind LOL

May be because SE's is the most experienced in terms of camera industry(Sony's Cybershot). Others like Samsung(which got some bad feedbacks about their camera) doesn't really aim for camera market. Motorola has to grab Kodak so we see that SE has the upperhand here.
IMO, what if Canon, Fujifilm, and Nikon comes to phone industry!? I get the shrills just thinking

Casio does in Japan, but has no intention to bring exilim phones to the US as "high spec phones are unsuitable for US markets" from their marketing research, not enough people will buy them
Fuji used to make the cam modules for Mitsubishi, but you know mitsubishi has quitted, so no more
Canon has always been a safe player in the market, slowest to adopt AVCHD and HDD for dcam for example; nikon doesn't have enough expertise in so much miniaturization for phones at this point
