@da krypsta: Love those old notes, especially the R20 one...brings back some memories...If I was sent to the shop and came back with the wrong change a hiding is what I would get. Now you can't fill up a shopping bag with a R20.
EDIT: Just came across
this story on IOL.co.za about a family who are so desperate, they've contemplated suicide.

Hei, O Kryptik One,
Now you've stirred up the memory banks! I remember trying to draw/ copy Van Riebeeck's 3 ships as a lighty, from the one note. Those big R1 coins also bring back distant memories too, as do most of those notes.
@ da brixsta,
That's quite a disturbing article; I count my chickens and lucky stars almost daily, particularly when I read stuff like that. Most of us here have so much to be grateful for.

man those notes and coins look way too familiar! old jan's pic on them looks like me with my hair loose. scary!
so the whole creative thing versus others influences on that-i found many times as much as i love music i would for months on end not listen to any actively when i could. keeps my stuff different than when i listen to lots of music:)

Mrs Amawanqa has just returned from Tesco. There's this competition running with the 'Redbush Tea' company: (Rooibos is becoming increasingly popular here.)

Having read that story about the Schloss family, i realize that i have nothing to complain about. God willing the proper person will read that letter, and make a difference in their lives.
Sooooo, you boys got your starlights all ready for tonight?? I suffer acutely from Vegrandis Puer Morbus, so we're off in a while to a designated area at the beachfront to go make some noise and pretty lights

LOL Kryptik, you've been delving in those Latin sites again? I think most of us of the male jender suffer from symptoms of this disease at many stages of our adult lives...

Hope to catch an awesome fireworks display even though we're not "celebrating" Guy Fawkes Day.

Another stunning sunset over lower Essex and east London..isn't it supposed to be Winter here already?!
Hope we're able to catch some half-decent fireworks pics with the cellphones in the obvious poor light settings; methinks I'll be putting the ol' 3230 to work later tonight...
