Also, forgot to mention, how can Mr Away have so much faith in a product hes not even used ??
How can anyone judge or defend the device from any criticism when they've never used it ? Totally ridiculous !
I must be getting old im forgetting just how extremist some people can be.

I actually had a great laugh when he tried to predict how the GS4 will be in the Xperia Z Thread, something about how the camera wont be as good as Z cause it wont have a Sony sensor, screen wont be as good due to pentile (who says it will be pentile though??? And if it is at +400ppi it wont be noticeable) and then some rubbish about the design, while likening the GS3 to a panda

as i said before, desperation makes people say some very silly things.
Since the Galaxy S2, Samsung have pretty much owned Sony/SE at Camera, Display, Battery, Functionality, UI speed and fluidity, Memory, Memory Management and CPU/GPU, majority of reviews also back that up. Even when comparing the Xperia T to GS3, while Sony improved the looks from S to T, Samsung went and added LTE and 2GB RAM with GS3 LTE, this is exactly why Samsung are so successful, they are focussed on whats important.
And with all that I completely agree with you Etaab, we KNOW the GS4 wont be inferior to the Xperia Z, in fact, i expect the GS4 to do what the GS3 did to the Xperia S and T, obliterate it and have Sony once again scrambling to try keep up. The more i look at this argument the more silly it seems to compare top end Samsungs to top end Sonys, Samsung is more of a tier1 manufacturer along with Apple, Htc and Nokia, while Sony is a tier2 manufacturer along with your ZTEs, Huaweis and other Chinese manufacturers.

Indeed. Which is a shame because up until the K800i I thought SE made the best phones. What on earth happened.
I always considered Samsung as a budget manufacturer, years ago I bought Sony TVs, playstations, psp, phones and VHS recorders. I considered Samsung as budget like Sanyo, Alcatel, Bush, Goodmans etc.
But credit due to Samsung they've increased the quality of their products ten fold in the past decade. Now I own a Samsung phone, laptop and tv. I got the tv years ago when flatscreens first hit the mass market and because it was 25% cheaper than its Sony alternative.
The same applies to LG - I always thought they were budget quality manufacturers but their level of quality has risen. Sony seem to have gone the other way. Their products seem to be getting made on tighter budgets.
Anyway with no bias towards Samsung im looking forward to seeing this years major players flagships. I just cannot imagine Sony's effort even classed in the same league.

Etaab, stop making up stuff, unfortunately, many of my friends have a SGS3. And the other called me desperate.
And the other guy, you call me delusional after you just called Sony a tier 2 manufacturer.
The only arguments I've lost are with fools. So, I lose. You guys need psychiatric help it seems...

Sony is a tier 2 manufacturer, but I guess it's your choice to accept that or not, but it doesn't change the fact.

Indeed, it is pretty incredible how things have changed. I did keep a close eye on Samsung though, especially after they launched the G810, the G800 update that had Symbian and an optical zoom camera, but once Samsung dropped the Samsung i8510 Innov8 I began to take them seriously, that was one hell of a powerhouse, I'm shocked Nokia and Sony/SE didn't see the signs of a huge potential threat there, and what totally sealed Samsung as a tier 1 manufacturer was the i8910 OmniaHD, at the time it was the only Symbian S60v5 device worth looking at as the Nokia N97 was just pure garbage and the SE Satio had all its problems, I remember members of this forum, namely Mario and Dups! (both SA memebers) saying that Samsung will pass SE and Nokia and eventually be a juggernaut, even I as an enthusiast found it a little hard to believe back then, but look at them now.
I'm also looking forward to the other flagships, now that Sony have shown their rather lackluster cards I expect Samsung and HTC will impress, especially us power users who want more than just a pretty phone.

I never liked Samsung phones with possibly the exception Of the D600 I think it was called. It was a black slider from around 2005. I hated their Bluetooth implementation which had to pair every device just to send anything. In terms of ease of use they sucked.
But Android is what made Samsung so big. The i8910 I remember wanting for its screen and power but lacked Symbian app support. I couldnt get my first choice, the N97 so went with the Satio. Great camera, poor phone.
That was the last SE I bought. Talk about burned.
@ Away - you can lie all you like and pretend you aee the bigger person. You're not. You're some jumped up little nobody who's barely been on the forum long enough to have valid opinions which are true to the history of mobile phones. You're a blatant liar who relies on the people who are too simple to look back a few pages and see the abusive none constructive comments you make to not be found out.
Tell you what, set a date in your calendar, for say 1st July this year if you're still around (which you probably wont) and lets see who was right. Lets see how many websites review Sonys phones and their rivals phones. Lets see which they prefer. Lets see some sales figures especially if Sony has a three or four month lead.
And then come back here on that day and see if you're adult enough to admit you were wrong.

Samsung grew after copying the iPhone from design to interface. I hate Apple more than Samsung, but I always said that Samsung fans are only no2 to Apple fans in stupidity.
Since the S3 Samsung have stopped copying Apple, and chose to steal their Camera interface from Sony instead.
Hopefully the S4 will see an end to all the forgery completely.
Also, how can Sony be a tier 2 manufacturer when the Z will be the most premium smartphone on the market for a few months?
In terms of TVs, Sony are expensive, but their flagship of the under £1000 range was the best of all the competing products?
Why have they developed CLED for TVs, which we may one day see on smartphones?
Why is their games console the best - both handheld and living room...?
Why are they producing the best NFC speakers?
Why are they leading in NFC implementation in the household? From speakers to tags. I know they didn't invent any of those, but I'm talking about implementation...They've been promoting NFC more than anyone else since the Xperia S?
Anyone that says Sony are a tier 2 manufacturer are simply stupid.
The S3 doesn't beat the competition like the S2 did. I always preferred the arc S thanks to the screen (which wasn't amoled and had Bravia engine), but for most people, the S2 was the better phone. Now, the S3 is like what the iPhone 4s was, not better than the competition, but popular thanks to a lack of knowledge of the majority of consumers who thought it was like fashion...
