of course bringing / buying phones in GH is a gamble... upgrading your phone there will be "at your own risk". im not sure which store there provides the upgrades but look around and ask.

I'll be @ GH this weekend trying to find a place that can do it...I'll see how it goes and will give you the results (if i don't chicken out) asap. bugs me tho that SE here do not have the software to do it. why don't they ask for it is waht i want to know. that way everybody wins.

thats because they say the mc is not intended for this market, and is a smuggled / unauthorized phone. the hardware here for upgrades is not compatible with the mc. this has been a lingering issue for a while now and i dont think it'll be resolved anytime soon.
im using my gf's mc... she has my T68i...

The EMMA II server has a T68m and T68mc specific upgrade to get it up to the T68i standard. The EMMA server couldn't upgrade my T68mc with i or m software. I has to use T68mc MMS [(Taiwan) English,Chinese] to upgrade my T68. I upgraded from R2E006 to R6A012.
