Pinch zoom seems to work properly only in camerapictures

Are you sure it is not the one finger zoom that we already have in the minis ore double-tap-to-zoom that is fooling you to think it is pinch-to-zoom ?

Try to move just one finger up and down or double tap on a photo and see if it zooms in and out.

As stated by SE them selves, MT is due in a update in Q1 2011.

2.0.2.A.0.24 Update

Sony Ericsson has released a new (minor) update for the Xperia X10 family. The firmware has been updated to version 2.0.2.A.0.24 with Baseband version 2.0.49. There is no official changelog from the company so we can’t officially say what changes it brings. The main improvements appear to be better performance overall including Timescape and Mediascape, a new keyboard and some users are reporting louder in-call volume.

SE have blocked the current rooting method with the latest update. However, the chaps over on XDA forums have released a re rooted update.

I have rooted my X10i with z4root. Does it get automatically unrooted if I update? =(

Yes, you need to re-root after the update.

I'm downloading the update now, hope they have fixed the speed issues I've had with 2.1 so far. And multi-touch is quite convenient

edit:

As stated before, no MT and it's not a bit less laggy at app-meny or home screen.

Does Z4 root still work after the latest update? No update in the Phil yet.

What I've noticed is faster menu scrolling and messaging access when viewed from mediascape.
